I'm Nick Christensen. I run growth at AppSumo and build side businesses on nights and weekends. I live in Austin, TX.
In early February 2026 I set up an AI agent on a Mac Mini. Just wanted it to read my emails and manage my calendar. Two weeks later it was running 10 automated jobs, posting daily to a 28K follower Instagram page, sniping tennis court bookings, monitoring flight prices, summarizing meeting transcripts, and managing a full task board of our shared work.
That agent's name is Ace. He runs on OpenClaw, 24 hours a day, on a headless Mac Mini connected to everything I use: Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Instagram, 1Password, Shopify, Google Ads, and more. He has sub-agents for development, writing, research, ops, and design.
What I'm building
At AppSumo: I manage paid growth across Google, Meta, and partner channels. I'm currently building systems to bring Google Ads management in-house using AI-assisted analysis and a profit-first optimization framework.
Side businesses: I run Zero Dark Tactical, a tactical gear brand with a 28K follower Instagram presence that's 100% automated through Ace. Content sourcing, video processing, caption writing, posting, and analytics — all handled by the agent.
Consulting: I help small businesses build paid growth systems. The kind of practical, revenue-focused marketing that actually moves the needle for one-person and small-team operations.
